The inside of the island below is sloping and also uninhabited. The west and north of the island has white sandy coastlines including sand created from aquatic shells adjoining the grassed machair, while the south eastern side has many rocky inlets. To the north a sandy pensinsula runs to the coastline flight terminal and also Eoligarry.
