Studley
Studley is a big town and also civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon district of Warwickshire, England. Situated on the western side of Warwickshire near the border with Worcestershire it is 4 miles (6 kilometres) southeast of Redditch and also 13 miles (21 kilometres) northwest of Stratford-upon-Avon. The Roman road of Ryknild Street, now the A435, travels through the town on its eastern edge, alongside the River Arrow. The name originates from the Old English leah, being a field or pasture, where steeds, stod, are maintained. Studley is in some cases declared to be the biggest village in England, nevertheless, this is incorrect as it is not also the biggest town in Warwickshire. Although Polesworth as well as Bulkington are larger, by population, they could be classified as a country. The United Kingdom Census 2001 reported Studley's population as being 6,624, lowering to 5,879 at the 2011 Census.
