Crickhowell
Crickhowell is a village as well as neighborhood in southeastern Powys, Wales, near Abergavenny, and remained in the historical region of Brecknockshire. The name Crickhowell is extracted from that of the close-by Iron Age hill ft of Crug Hywel above the town, the Welsh language name being anglicised by map-makers and also neighborhood English-speaking individuals. The community pushes the River Usk, on the southerly side of the Black Hills and in the eastern part of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Considerable parts of the bordering countryside, over 20,000 acres (81 km2) develop part of the Glanusk Park estate. A selecting ward in the very same name exists. This ward includes The Vale of Grwyney neighborhood as well as has a total population of 2,801 as taken at the 2011 census. The existing councillor is John Morris, a Liberal Democrat.
