Burgess Hill
Burgess Hill is really a civil parish in addition to a town largely situated in the Mid Sussex district of West Sussex, England, towards the border with East Sussex, within the edge of the South Downs National Park. Located 62 km (39 mi) south of London, 16 km (9.9 mi) north of Brighton and Hove, and 47 km (29 mi) east-northeast of the county town of Chichester, it occupies an area of 9.47 km2 (3.66 sq mi) coupled with a populace of 28,803 during the 2001 Census, defining it as the most populous parish in the area. Other nearby towns include Haywards Heath to the north east and Lewes, the county town of East Sussex, to the south east.
