Peacehaven is a town and civil parish in the Lewes district of East Sussex, England. The town covers a total area of around 2 square miles. It lies above the chalk cliffs of the South Downs about 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Brighton city centre, on the A259 road. The cliffs are predominantly of geological interest, incorporating a lot of Santonian and Campanian fossils. The SSSI listing incorporates flora and fauna biological interest too. According to the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent resident population of around 14067 people.
