Bradford-on-avon

Bradford on Avon is a town and civil parish within west Wiltshire, England, with a population of 9,402 as per the 2011 Census. The town lies partly on the Avon Valley, and partially on the hill that marks the Vale's western edge, 8 miles southeast of Bath, in the hilly countryside amongst the Mendip Hills, Salisbury Plain along with the Cotswold Hills. The local area around Bath provides the Jurassic limestone (Bath Stone) out of which the town's historic buildings are built. The River Avon (Bristol Avon) flows through the town. The town neighbours Trowbridge to the south east. The town incoporates the suburbs of Bearfield and Woolley; the parish incorporates the hamlets of Widbrook and Woolley Green. The town's canal, original buildings, shops, pubs and restaurants make it attractive to tourists. The history of the town can be traced back to Roman times. It boasts several buildings which date back to the seventeenth century, when the town grew as a result of the thriving English woollen textile industry. A unique feature of Bradford on Avon is the large Grade II* listed tithe barn, called the Saxon Tithe Barn, which is 180 feet by 30 feet and was built during the fourteenth century and is now a part of Barton Farm Country Park. The barn would have been used for collecting taxes in the form of goods to finance the church. There are numerous notable buildings in and around the town centre. Lots of the traditional textile factories have been transformed into modern flats and apartments, thought a few of the buildings are still made use of today for their traditional purpose. For all of your house upgrades, make certain that you use vetted specialists in Bradford on Avon to make sure you get a good quality service.

FAQs

what insurance does a painter need?

What Insurance Does A Painter Need?

As a painter, you’re most likely going to require three forms of insurance which includes public liability, income protection as well as tool insurance. However, you should take note that outside these three, there are also several other forms of insurance whose relevance will only be determined by the nature of your business. Now let’s take a closer look into the three most important forms of insurance for painters.

✓ Public liability. What’s surprising here is the fact that many painters are actually aware that they should have a public liability insurance, but only a few really knows what it actually covers. Essentially, what a public liability insurance does is to protect you in the event whereby you messed up and some else suffers a loss as a result of your actions. Third parties can suffer a property damage or personal injury as a result of your negligence. It does not in any way cover the damages to your own property or injuries suffered by you or your staff.

✓ Income protection. As a subcontractor or self employed painter, you’ll be in the best position to know that if you don’t work, there’ll be no money for you. And with no sick leave and possibly no workers’ compensation, then financial problem looms. But not to worry, you can protect yourself from this risk by getting an income protection insurance.

✓ Tool insurance. It’s always a terrible feeling when you go to the site only to discover your tools such as ladders, spray guns, trestles and equipment are suddenly no where to be found. Upon discovery of this situation, you’ll start thinking about the cost of replacing all the tools. With a tool insurance, you can be protected against these sort of situations whereby your tools are stolen, damaged and lots more.
