North Ferriby is a village and also civil parish in the Haltemprice area of the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Ferriby parish had a population of 3,893, a rise on the 2001 UK census number of 3,819 according to the 2011 UK census. The school has about 300 students. North Ferriby is on the north financial institution of the Humber Estuary, around 8 miles (13 km) west of Hull city centre. To the north, atop a hillside, lies Swanland using the B1231. South Ferriby is straight opposite the town, on the south financial institution of the Humber. North Ferriby is typically described as "Ferriby" by locals on the north financial institution, except where confusion could develop. Melton is nearby to the west which is where the large South Hunsley School is. North Ferriby lies in the Parliamentary constituency of Haltemprice and Howden.
