Wrexham is the largest town within the north of Wales and has a population of 42,576. Wrexham is near to the border of Cheshire and situated in between the Welsh mountains as well as the lower Dee Valley. As North Wales' biggest town Wrexham accounts for a great deal of the region's commercial, retail and educational infrastructure. The Wrexham Borough features a much larger population of 130,000.
