Alva
Alva is a small village in Clackmannanshire, located in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. It is one of a variety of towns positioned immediately to the south of the Ochil Hills, jointly known as the Hillfoots Towns or merely The Hillfoots. It lies between Tillicoultry as well as Menstrie. Alva had a resident population of 5,181 at the 2001 census yet this has considering that been changed to 4,960 in 2006. It boasts several attributes such as a park with an event hall and a freshly opened exterior health club, and also is the residence of Alva Academy. Alva was historically in an exclave of Stirlingshire, yet it was moved to Clackmannanshire in 1891.
