Lanark is a village in the central belt of Scotland. The name is thought ahead from the Cumbric Lanerc suggesting "clear area, glade". Lanark is traditionally the county town of Lanarkshire, though there are several bigger communities in the county. Lanark railway station and coach station have constant services to Glasgow.
