Laminate flooring is an exceptionally widely used choice of flooring due to its durability, ease of maintenance, and economical price. A relatively recent addition to the market, laminate has quickly expanded in popularity as a substitute for real wood or stone flooring. Laminate flooring is a type of artificial composite flooring made up of several layers, often with a fibreboard core coated with a decorative layer featuring a printed image of the design, and then finally covered with a wear layer that protects the floor from scratches and other types of damage. Because laminate floor includes a decorative layer that may include any type of image, it is available in a wide variety of different styles to mimic the looks of many other styles of flooring like real wood or slate. While the majority of laminate floor features a smooth top layer, it may additionally feature embossed or textured effects which mimic other types of flooring. Laminate flooring is suitable for a number of rooms, but be careful if you intend on installing it in a bathroom as specific moisture proofed laminate should be used. When choosing the perfect laminate for your house, select one with a suitable Abrasion Class (AC) rating, as this specificies the quantity of traffic the laminate is graded to perform well under. Laminate flooring is not too difficult to install due to its snap or click together design. However, it is usually time consuming to install a substantial amount of laminate, and also tricky to cut the planks to the precise size, as well as difficult to ensure that the correct underlay and damp proofing is installed to suit your house. Specialist flooring companies can inform you on the most appropriate laminate floor for your room, and guarantee that it is fitted to the best quality.
The average cost of Laminate flooring is £700. Costs fluctuate based upon the materials and the firm hired. The upper price range can be as high as £805. The material costs are in most cases approximately £175

Chard is a town and a civil parish in the English county of Somerset. It lies on the A30 road close to the Devon border, 15 miles (24 km) south west of Yeovil. The parish features a population of around 13000 and, at an elevation of 121 metres (397 ft), Chard is the southernmost and highest town in Somerset. Administratively Chard makes up part of the district of South Somerset. The name of the town was Cerden in 1065 and Cerdre in the Domesday Book of 1086. Following the Norman Conquest, Chard was held by the Bishop of Wells. The town's initial charter was from King John in 1234. Chard is most famously referred to as the birthplace of powered flight, as in 1848, John Stringfellow initially indicated that engine-powered flight was achievable. Percy and Ernist Petter, who formed Westland Aircraft Works, witnessed a few of Stringfellow's demonstrations in Chard and often asked for assistance in the formation of Westland's 1st aircraft development factory on the outskirts of Yeovil. Agusta Westland now holds the Henson and Stringfellow lecture yearly for the RAeS. Chard Reservoir, approximately a mile north east of the town, is a Local Nature Reserve, and Snowdon Hill Quarry a geological Site of Special Scientific Interest. Major employers in the town consist of Numatic International Limited and the Oscar Mayer food processing plant. You will find a range of sporting and cultural facilities, with secondary education being supplied at Holyrood Academy. Religious sites include the Church of St Mary the Virgin which dates from the late 11th century. For all your home upgrades, be certain that you employ trustworthy professionals in Chard to ensure you get the top quality.
