Menai Bridge
Menai Bridge is a town and neighborhood on the Isle of Anglesey in north-west Wales. It neglects the Menai Strait as well as lies by the Menai Suspension Bridge, constructed in 1826 by Thomas Telford, simply over the water from Bangor. With a population of 3,376, it is the 5th largest community on the island. There are numerous little islands near the town, including Church Island. The Menai Heritage Bridges Event commemorates the world-famous Menai Suspension Bridge, built by Thomas Telford, as well as the Britannia Bridge, developed by Robert Stephenson.
