Arlesey
Arlesey is a community as well as civil parish in Bedfordshire. It is near the border with Hertfordshire, concerning three miles north-west of Letchworth Yard City, four miles north of Hitchin as well as 6 miles southern of Biggleswade. Arlesey railway station provides solutions to London, Stevenage and Peterborough. The Domesday Book discusses Arlesey. The population of Arlesey was 5,584 in 2,344 households in the 2011 census. In the census of 2011, 94.0% of people explained themselves as white, 2.2% as having mixed or numerous ethnic groups, 2.9% as being Eastern or British Eastern, and less than 1.0% as having another ethnic background. In the same census, 55.8% defined themselves as Christian, 34.6% explained themselves as having no faith, 6.8% did not define a religious beliefs, 1.2% explained themselves as Sikh, and 1.7% defined themselves as having a different religious beliefs.
