Aviemore
Aviemore is a community and visitor resort, positioned within the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. It is in the Badenoch and Strathspey committee area, within the Highland council location. The community is popular for snowboarding as well as other wintertime sports, and for hill-walking in the Cairngorm Mountains. There are outstanding sights of the Cairngorms from various places within the community, especially from the railway station. The Aviemore stone circle lies within a residential area of the town. Aviemore lies on the B9152 (the "old" A9 road given that the highway from Inverness to Perth was rebuilt further west in 1980). Aviemore train station gets on the Highland Main Line as well as Aviemore is also the southerly terminus of the Strathspey Railway, a heritage train.
