Henlow is a village and also civil parish in the Central Bedfordshire area of the region of Bedfordshire, England concerning 10.75 miles (17 km) south-east of the county town of Bedford. The 2011 census provides the population as 2,253 for the town and 3,815 for the church. The parish consists of RAF Henlow and that part of Henlow Camp located eastern of the A600 road. RAF Henlow is located close by, but is nearer to the village of Stondon. The noncombatant settlement of Henlow Camp has grown up near to the RAF station. There is a health farm in Henlow at Henlow Grange, part of the Champneys group. There are 3 hostelries. There are numerous theories regarding the origin of the name Henlow.
