An engineered wooden door is a door made out of multiple pieces of wood. This is opposed to solid wooden doors that are made out of one piece of wood.Engineered wooden doors are usually covered by veneer to make them look like they are made from one piece of wood. They tend to be sturdier and straighter than solid doors.
Darvel
Darvel or Dervel (population 3,361) is a village in East Ayrshire, Scotland. It is at the eastern end of the Irvine Valley and is often referred to as "The Lang Toon" (English: the Long Town). The community's Latin slogan, Non sibi sed cunctis, means "Except ourselves, however, for others". Darvel is located on the A71 roadway that ranges from Irvine on the west coastline to Edinburgh on the east. The town is 9 miles (14 km) eastern of Kilmarnock as well as is the most eastern of the Valley Towns, the others being Galston and also Newmilns. The community was also when related to Stonehouse (using Strathaven) by the Caledonian Railway. Nevertheless, the line was closed by the LMS before the Second World War. The former Glasgow and also South Western Railway branch line to Kilmarnock made it through for much longer and also was closed in 1964 as part of the Beeching Axe. Much of the course of both the old railway lines is still out there, although the rails have actually long since gone and lots of roadway bridges have been removed. There was a large viaduct to the east of the community, in the lea of Loudoun Hill, which carried the train line over the valley. This was however, demolished in 1986, and only the piers stay. The River Irvine flows with the town and also when powered local mills.
