The town's sky line is controlled by Dent Fell as well as the community is located on the 190 miles (310 kilometres) Coast to Coastline Stroll that extends Northern England. On the outskirts of the town of Cleator Moor lies the town of Cleator with which the community is closely linked. As a settlement of note, it was considerably occupied by immigrants from the North Eastern regions of Ireland in the latter fifty percent of the 19th century, leading to the colloquial title of Little Ireland. With the decline of standard industries as well as the resulting high rate of unemployment, the community's economy is now depending on the nearby Sellafield complex, which provides jobs to around half the town's individuals.
