Llandovery
Llandovery is a market town as well as community in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It pushes the River Tywi and at the joint of the A40 as well as A483 roads, around 25 miles (40 km) north-east of Carmarthen, 27 miles (43 km) north of Swansea and also 21 miles (34 km) west of Brecon. A selecting ward with the same name exists. This ward covers Llandovery yet also extends to the north. The overall ward population taken at the 2011 Census was 2,689. The area is surrounded by the areas of Llanfair-ar-y-bryn, Myddfai, Llanwrda, and Cilycwm, all being in Carmarthenshire. As of 2019, the mayor of Llandovery is Annabel Graham Paul. Llandovery is twinned with Pluguffan in Brittany, France.
