Clarbeston Road
Clarbeston is a village and also parish in Pembrokeshire, Wales, 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) eastern of Haverfordwest. The parish, along with Wiston as well as Walton East, make up the area of Wiston. The English placename indicates "Clarenbald's ranch", Clarenbald being a continental Germanic (probably Flemish) personal name. The Welsh placename is a translation of the English. Clarbeston Road railway station and the bordering negotiation and article community of Clarbeston Road exist to the west of the village. The parish is close to, or on, the Pembrokeshire language frontier and also has always had a somewhat ever-changing percentage of Welsh audio speakers. The church had an area of 671 ha (1,660 acres). Its census populations were: 180 (1801 ): 178 (1851 ): 158 (1901 ): 114 (1951 ): 71 (1981 ). The percent of Welsh speakers was 41 (1891 ): 44 (1931 ): 27 (1971 ).
