Attleborough is a market town and civil parish between Norwich and Thetford within Norfolk, England. The parish is within the district of Breckland and has an area of 21.9 square kilometres (8.5 square miles). Attleborough is in the Mid-Norfolk constituency of the UK Parliament. Attleborough railway station is on a main line rail service to both Norwich and Cambridge. The 2001 Census recorded the town as having a permanent resident population of 9702 distributed between 4185 households. It grew to a population of 10482 in 4481 households by the 2011 Census. The first turnpike road in England is rumoured to have been created here at the end of the 17th century. The 1920s saw continuing growth as a market centre, held on a Thursday, the stalls spread across the pavements of Church Street and in an open area by the Angel Hotel opposite the Griffin Inn. It was the turkey sales which made the town a bustling market centre in the 1930s, and thousands were sold each year on Michaelmas Day. Nearby employment still predominantly revolved around the Gaymer's cider works, established in the late 19th century. Much of the town's development occurred in the 1960s. The overspill programme and new town development brought new families into south Norfolk. Attleborough had to make choices for the future and new improvement zones were designated. The very first estate programme started with the establishment of the council-owned Cyprus Estate which has since been added to by other private housing schemes, including Fairfields and Ollands built mainly during the 1970s along with a significant estate on the south side of the town during 1990s. For all your property upgrades, make certain that you utilise trusted experts in Attleborough to ensure you get the top quality service.

So you’ve decided to add some new French doors for your home? If yes, then you’re likely going to be concerned about whether or not you’ll require a planning permission to get started.
Properties are compelled to meet certain requirements and have proper permission in place in order to be in line with the regulations. Overall, you’re going to need planning permission in the following situations:
• If you want to construct something new.
• If you want to a make a major change to a building like an extension.
• If you want to change the use of your building such as converting it from residential to commercial.
Getting a new door or replacing an existing one doesn’t usually require a planning permission as it’s one of the less complicated improvements you can make to a home. As a result, this kind of improvement is normally covered by permitted development rights especially when you’re not constructing an extension for which to use the French door. However in the events whereby a permission is needed, it will most likely going to be granted if the proposed changes does not have an impact on the primary elevations of the house which is usually the front of the building.
It’s also important to note that permitted development can be limited by local authorities. These limitations include buildings in a conservation area, listed buildings, and if you happen to reside in an area of immense aesthetic appeal or other designated areas like National Parks. If such situation before you change your French doors, it’s important to consult your local authority before proceeding.
