Usk
Usk is a community and neighborhood in Monmouthshire, Wales, 10 miles (16 kilometres) northeast of Newport. Community of Usk and River from Llanbadoc Rock; 1860. It lies on the River Usk, which is covered by a curved rock bridge at the western entrance to the town. Usk Castle, over the community forgets, the ancient crossing factor. It developed as a tiny market community, with some industry consisting of the production of Japanware, and with a remarkable prison integrated in 1841/2. In the last few years Usk has become known for its history of success in Britain in Bloom competitions, winning the Large Village award in 2005. The resident population of the community in 2001 was 2,318, raising to 2,834 at the 2011 census.
