Bamburgh
Bamburgh is a town as well as civil parish on the coastline of Northumberland, England. It had a population of 454 in 2001, decreasing to 414 at the 2011 census. The village is notable for the neighboring Bamburgh Castle, a castle which was the seat of the previous Kings of Northumbria, as well as for its association with the Victorian era heroine Poise Darling, who is buried there. Bamburgh is prominent with holidaymakers and is within the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. An electoral ward of the exact same name exists. This ward consists of Belford and likewise stretches southern to Ellingham with a complete population taken at the 2011 census of 4,846.
