Amersham is a market town and civil parish inside the Chiltern district in the English county of Buckinghamshire. It is situated within the Chiltern Hills, 27 miles northwest of London, 15 miles from Aylesbury and 13 miles from High Wycombe. It forms part of the London commuter belt resulting from its closeness to London. There is a chalk stream that runs through the town, although it frequently dries up through the year.
