Lasswade
Lasswade is a village and also civil parish in Midlothian, Scotland, on the River North Esk, 9 miles (14.5 kilometres) southern of Edinburgh city centre, in between Dalkeith and also Loanhead. Melville Castle exists to the north east. The Gaelic form is Leas Bhaid, indicating the "clump at the fort." Lasswade exists within the Edinburgh Green Belt. Most of the population is retired or commutes to Edinburgh to function.
