Auchterarder
Auchterarder (population 3,945) is a town located north of the Ochil Hills in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, and also residence to the famous Gleneagles Resort. The 1 1/2-mile (2.4 km) long High Street of Auchterarder gave the community its preferred name of "The Lang Toun" or Long Town. The modern-day town is a popular buying destination with a variety of independent shops as well as cafes. Auchterarder has an oceanic climate (Köppen: Cfb). The local weather station to Auchterarder lies at Strathallan, around 2 1/4 miles (3.6 kilometres) to the north-west.
