In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town features a population of about 11066 people. It is positioned on the south bank of the Humber Estuary at the southern end of the Humber Bridge. The importance of the human remains lies in their representing the pathology of an isolated community over the period between 950 and 1850. Clearing snow from a gravel driveway can be tricky – you need to remove the snow without taking the gravel with it.
