Block Paving in Ferryside

Block paving can look good as a driveway. It is a stylish and functional solution to your driveway and can give your home great kerb appeal. Whether you want a classic herringbone design or something a little different, there are plenty of block paving options and materials available to you. The bricks used in block paving are most commonly manufactured from clay, but some are made of different composite materials. One of the main benefits to block paving is that if a few of the bricks get damaged over time, they can easily be replaced. It also means that it's simpler to carry out work under the surface of the paving without leaving a mark. The most common pattern that driveway companies lay is the herringbone pattern since it has the strongest interlock, rendering it a great choice for driveways. The herringbone pattern is established by the tradesperson by setting the blocks at 45 degrees or 90 degrees to the perpendicular. Both types of herringbone design create a stylish and interesting look for your driveway that will make your home look fantastic to potential buyers. Fill out our online form to get in touch with up to 4 driveway companies who can provide you with a quote for a block-paved driveway.

Ferryside

Ferryside is a village in the area of St Ishmael, Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is 8.5 miles (13.7 km) south of Carmarthen near the mouth of the River Tywi. Initially a ferry crossing, then becoming a fishing village, it has created as a vacation and also retired life location. The village has its very own lifeboat station and also was the very first village in the UK to change from analogue to digital tv. Originating as a landing-place on the ferry course to Llansteffan (the ferryboat was used by Giraldus Cambrensis in 1188), Ferryside established as an angling town. In 1844 the population of the parish was 895. Much of the village created after 1852, when it came to be connected to Carmarthen as well as Swansea by Isambard Kingdom Brunel's South Wales Railway.
