Embsay
Embsay is a village in the Craven district of North Yorkshire, England, and along with the neighbouring town of Eastby, develop the civil church of Embsay with Eastby, which had a population of 1,758 in 2001. Embsay is approximately 2 miles (3 kilometres) northeast of Skipton. At the foot of Embsay Crag, a rock formation north of the town, is Embsay Reservoir. The crag marks the start of Barden Moor, a stretch of open moorland which is open gain access to land and also made use of by walkers. There are two even more storage tanks on the moor: Upper Barden Reservoir and Lower Barden Reservoir. Embsay reservoir is the head office of Craven Cruising Club.
