Sandringham
Sandringham is a town as well as civil parish in the north of the English county of Norfolk. The town is positioned 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) southern of Dersingham, 12 km (7.5 mi) north of King's Lynn and 60 km (37 mi) north-west of Norwich. The civil parish extends eastwards from Sandringham village to the coast of the Wash some 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) distant, and also includes the towns of West Newton as well as Wolferton. It has an area of 41.91 km2 (16.18 sq mi) as well as in 2001 had a population of 402 in 176 houses. The population had actually boosted to 437 at the 2011 Census. For the objectives of local government, the church is in the area of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. Sandringham is best called the place of Sandringham House as well as its estate, a favoured vacation house of Queen Elizabeth II and several of her predecessors. Near to Sandringham home is the Royal Stud, a stud farm that houses many of the royal equines. The town was the birthplace of Diana, Princess of Wales.
