Frizington
Frizington is a town in Cumbria, England. Historically, it was a collection of farms and residences, but ended up being a linked town as a result of the mining (both coal and iron ore) possibilities in the location. The village is recognized for its church, which was integrated in 1867-1868. Historically a part of Cumberland, Frizington is in the civil parish of Arlecdon and Frizington, which has a population of 3,678, the Borough of Copeland and also the CA postcode area. On 2 June 2010, Frizington was the scene of the 2nd murder in the killing spree known as the Cumbria capturings, when Derrick Bird shot his household solicitor, Kevin Commons. Stephen Holgate, a specialist rugby league player with a variety of clubs, originated from Frizington.
