Composite Doors in Banbridge

Do you need to upgrade your front door? There are plenty of options available to you but none as popular as composite doors. But why is this particular type of doorway the nation’s most popular and why would you consider this for your own household?

There are a lot of reasons to decide on a composite door. First of all they look amazing and there's a wide range of choice both in style and design from which to choose. If you would like a modern-day appeal then you can certainly get precisely that, with contemporary designs to go hand in hand with the times. However, if you prefer the overall appeal of standard front doors, then there are Victorian, Georgian and Edwardian designs from which to choose.

On top of this you'll be able to choose a colour that beautifully complements your house. Whether you select a traditional white or black door, or would prefer the bold red, blue or green, the final decision is up to you.

But why don't you consider the composite door’s additional features? Together with a strong overall look, you take advantage of exceptional insulation and a sturdy, resistant installation. The construction of the door ensures heat is not able to pass thorough and exit your home, reducing your expensive energy expenses.

Composite doorways are produced to withstand impacts and the weather too, lasting for decades with virtually no upkeep. A GRP (Glass reinforced plastic) skin helps you to protect the front door ensuring it continues to look great for many years to come.

Banbridge

The town of Banbridge is in Northern Ireland's County Down. It's positioned around the River Bann along with a dual carriageway, with its name derived from a bridge that was constructed across the River Bann in 1712. It is included in the civil parish of Seapatrick as well as the historic barony of Iveagh Upper, Upper Half. Banbridge is presently the administrative centre for the Banbridge District Council. With reference to the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent resident population of approximately 16653. It's recognised as a medium town and of the population, 24.4% were aged under 16 years, 16.1 percent were over 60 years of age, and 49.5 percent were male, leaving 50.5% as female. In its infancy, the town was a coach stop on the road between Belfast and Dublin, and it prospered in the manufacture of Irish linen. A noteworthy feature of the town is its distinctive main street, which rises to a steep hill prior to levelling out. An underpass had to be constructed in 1834 as a result of the steep street causing horses with heavy loads to faint before they got to the top . Constructed by William Dargan, it is officially called the Downshire Bridge, even though it is regularly referred to as 'The Cut'. The town is widely recognized for being near to the Bronte Homeland in Rathfriland, attracting lots of visitors because of this. One more attraction is the annual busking festival, 'Buskfest', which has been running since 2004. Participants have frequently travelled extended distances to busk, as well as the event ends with an evening concert consisting of performances by famous artists. For all of your home improvement work, be sure that you use reputable experts in Banbridge to ensure that you get the very best quality service.

what type of lock is on a composite door?

Do you have a composite door and wondering the best type of lock that can be used on your prized asset. To choose the right type of lock for a composite door, it’s of utmost importance to select one that’s designed to work perfectly with the composite configuration. By doing this, you’ll improve the security of your home while also achieving the desired look. To secure a composite door, the most common way is by incorporating a high security multipoint lock. Therefore, depending on the look you want for your door as well as how you want it to function, here are the four types of locks you can consider to go with your composite door.

• Split Spindle Lock

A split spindle lock would be your best bet if you’d like to automatically prevent access to your home from the outside. This lock allows you to open your door smoothly by utilizing the inside handle, however, you’ll need a key to turn the latch bolt to gain access back inside.

• Lever or Lever Lock

If you want an unhindered access in and out of your property, a lever lock gives you this opportunity without the need for a key until it’s totally deadlocked. The lever lock is installed to the back door which makes unauthorized entry even less likely.

• Slam Lock

If you’d prefer a super fast locking, then this lock type is your answer! It automatically triggers the lock hooks immediately you close the door - without having to lift the handle. However, to gain access to the inside of your home or bolt the door from the inside, you’ll need a key.

• Key Wind-Up Lock

This lock is wholly key operated and totally handle-free. Immediately the door is closed, the latch bolt will be automatically activated, ensuring that a key would be needed to gain access back inside.

Can you paint composite doors?

Composite doors have coloured skins rather than a coloured coating on their surface. This means that their colour is long-lasting and they don’t need repainting. If you want to change the colour of your composite door it’s best to ask the manufacturer about the best way to do this. This is because different composite doors are finished in different ways.
