Tadworth
Tadworth is a huge suburban town in Surrey in the south-east of the Epsom Downs, part of the North Downs. It forms part of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead. At the 2001 census Tadworth had a population of 9,522. Neighbouring settlements consist of Walton-on-the-Hill, Kingswood, Epsom, Burgh Heath, Banstead, Reigate. Tadworth lay within the Copthorne hundred, an administrative division created by the Saxons as well as later adopted by the Normans. There are no watercourses draining the location as the chalk quickly takes in water on the Downs.
