Crickhowell
Crickhowell is a small town and also neighborhood in southeastern Powys, Wales, near Abergavenny, and also was in the historic county of Brecknockshire. The name Crickhowell is taken from that of the neighboring Iron Age hill fort of Crug Hywel above the community, the Welsh language name being anglicised by map-makers and also regional English-speaking individuals. The town lies on the River Usk, on the southerly side of the Black Hills and also in the eastern part of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Substantial parts of the bordering countryside, over 20,000 acres (81 km2) develop part of the Glanusk Park estate. A selecting ward in the same name exists. This ward consists of The Vale of Grwyney area and also has a complete population of 2,801 as taken at the 2011 census. The existing councillor is John Morris, a Liberal Democrat.
