Llangammarch Wells
Llangammarch Wells or merely Llangammarch (population 541) is a town in the area of Llangamarch in Powys, Wales, pushing the Afon Irfon, as well as in the historical region of Brecknockshire (Breconshire). It is the smallest of the 4 spa villages of mid-Wales, alongside Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells and Llanwrtyd Wells. The medical spa was focused on a barium well, which is currently shut. The old village is centred on the parish church of St Cadmarch, which is a grade II * listed building. Llangammarch station gets on the Heart of Wales Line with trains offered by Transport for Wales. It rests on Route 43 of the National Cycle Network. Llangammarch Wells Golf Club (currently defunct) was founded in 1904. The club and also training course disappeared in the 1950s.
