General construction work should be restricted to the following hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm. Saturdays 8am to 1pm. Most councils advice that noisy work is prohibited on Sundays and bank holidays but you should check with your local council to confirm this.
Wick
Wick is a town as well as royal burgh in Caithness, in the much north of Scotland. The community straddles the River Wick as well as extends along both sides of Wick Bay. Wick Area had a population of 6,954 at the time of the 2011 census, a decline of 3.8% from 2001. Pulteneytown, which was created on the south side of the river by the British Fisheries Society throughout the 19th century, was formally merged into the burgh in 1902. The community is on the highway (the A99-- A9 roadway) connecting John o' Groats with southern Britain. Wick Sheriff Court is among 16 constable courts serving the sheriffdom of Grampian, Highland and also Islands.
