Kyle
Kyle of Lochalsh is a town in the historic region of Ross-shire on the northwest coast of Scotland, situated around 55 miles (90 kilometres) west-southwest of Inverness. It is located on the Lochalsh peninsula, at the entryway to Loch Alsh, opposite the village of Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye. A ferryboat used to attach both towns till it was replaced by the Skye Bridge, about a mile (1.6 kilometres) to the west, in 1995. The town is the transportation and shopping centre for the location in addition to having a harbour as well as marina with pontoons for maritime visitors. The surrounding surroundings as well as wildlife are considered as destinations of the village, as is the slow-moving pace of life.
