Pevensey is a village and also civil parish in the Wealden district of East Sussex, England. The major town is located 5 miles (8 kilometres) north-east of Eastbourne, one mile (1.6 km) inland from Pevensey Bay. The settlement of Pevensey Bay forms part of the parish. It was here that William the Conqueror made the landing in his invasion of England in 1066 after crossing the English Channel from Normandy, France. In 1207 the community was provided a royal charter by King John and was governed by Pevensey Corporation. With the decline in the community's relevance by the 19th century, the Corporation was ultimately liquified in 1886 and the community lost its borough standing. The records of the Corporation are kept in the East Sussex Record Office at Lewes, as well as a volunteer body, the Pevensey Town Trust, was created to handle the property which had previously belonged to the Corporation, most especially the Old Court House. Pevensey is currently a town, with a church council containing twelve chosen councillors. Three councillors are elected to the Wealden District Council to stand for Pevensey; the Member of Parliament is Hugh Merriman, who stands for the Bexhill as well as Battle Constituency, of which Pevensey is part. Pevensey is additionally part of the selecting ward called Pevensey and Westham. The population of this ward at the 2011 Census was 9,467.

Biomass boilers will work with existing central heating systems, presuming this is not decades old, whether they use radiators or under floor heating. A surveyor will check the existing system you have in place before quoting for or recommending a biomass boiler to you.
Biomass boilers can be designed to work with other kinds of heating. The most common of these is solar thermal. This is a popular renewable energy pairing. Solar thermal heating will meet your hot water needs during the summer while a biomass boiler can operate as a backup during the winter when solar thermal panels do not perform as well.
Many domestic biomass boilers are no bigger than a standard gas boiler. However, they do require a flue, a feeder and a space to store the fuel. These can be designed to suit many different properties and will fit in lots of homes or a garage or outbuilding.
Biomass boilers do require some maintenance. Many manufacturers recommend servicing twice a year, although this is often included in the installation cost. Many systems have automatic fuel loading that removes the need to manually load fuel. You will need to remove the ash from the boiler, but this is as easy as emptying a vacuum cleaner.
