Cornhill-on-tweed
Cornhill-on-Tweed (population 347) is a small town and also civil church in Northumberland, England about 1 mile (1.6 kilometres) to the east of Coldstream, Scotland. The communities of West Learmouth and East Learmouth are located to the south as well as west of the village specifically. A mile north-west of the town, on a spur above the River Tweed are the earthwork remains of Cornhill Castle. Cornhill-on-Tweed exists at a junction of the A697 as well as A698 roads - the latter connecting to Berwick-upon-Tweed, the closest significant town, some 13 miles (21 kilometres) away.
