Broadstone

Broadstone is a town and suburb of Poole in Dorset, England. It's located roughly 3 miles (4.8 kilometres) from Hamworthy railway station and 7 miles (11 km) from Bournemouth International Airport. Since 1840, it has developed from a small farm to a suburb. In 1840, 'Broadstone Farm' was established, and a railway line bypassed it in 1847. Its first church was opened in 1853, which later became the Scout hall. The first railway station was built in 1872 and named 'New Poole Junction' and, following a number of name revisions, became "Broadstone" in 1890. Broadstone First School was historically a Dame school, established in 1871. At the beginning of the twentieth century, lavender oil started being made in Broadstone. This came to a stop in 1935 when the factory was destroyed in a fire, but much lavender can nevertheless be found within the area. Significant growth of the town has since occurred, especially with the development of the Pine Springs housing estate and the building of more schools to service the rise in population. As recorded in the 2011 Census, the town boasts a resident population of approximately 10,300, which has increased slightly from the roughly 10,256 inhabitants measured during the 2001 Census. Centred around the main road (the B3074), 'The Broadway' is a bustling hub of shops, churches, schools and housing. The shops include both local and national chain stores, along with cafes and restaurants. Broadstone is famous for its big recreation fields and heathland park, plus a yearly Christmas parade and lights. The 24 acres that Broadstone Heath possesses are some of the original heathland which covered the Poole Basin. For all your home upgrades, make certain that you choose reliable pros in Broadstone to ensure you get a top quality service.

How much is it to tile a bathroom?

How Much To Tile A Bathroom?

Are you thinking about doing a full renovation or just a facelift of one of the most used rooms in your home - the bathroom? Thanks to its little maintenance requirements, tiling is the most obvious choice for wet areas as well as the popular decoration option for bathrooms. So if you’re planning to tile your bathroom how much is it going to cost?

Just like several other home improvement options, the cost of tiling a bathroom is influenced by a wide range of factors which makes it almost impossible to provide a single, accurate answer to the question. These factors include the size of your bathroom, the materials to be used, the professional tiling company hired and many more.

To calculate the cost of your bathroom tiling, you’ll need to determine the size of the area to be tiled. Simply work out the number of tiles you’ll need by multiplying the width and height and include about 10 percent to cover for possible errors. Generally, tiles can cost from £5 to £20 and more depending on your choice of design. Other materials you’ll have to purchase include tile adhesive, grout and silicone. If you don’t have the necessary tools make sure to get a tile cutter, measuring tape as well as a mixing bucket.

If you want to hire a professional for your bathroom tiling project, you should also consider any work that’ll need to be done before fitting the tiles such as the removal of the old tiles. This can have a great impact on the labour cost, so if you’re intending to save some money you can start by removing the old tiles yourself. Overall, depending on your location and the tiler’s experience can expect to incur about £20 to £40 per square metre. However, some tradesmen can charge a daily rate of about £150 to £200.
