Aviemore
Aviemore is a community as well as visitor resort, positioned within the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. It is in the Badenoch and Strathspey committee area, within the Highland council location. The community is prominent for snowboarding and other winter season sporting activities, and for hill-walking in the Cairngorm Mountains. There are exceptional sights of the Cairngorms from various places within the community, specifically from the railway station. The Aviemore rock circle is located within a residential neighbourhood of the community. Aviemore rests on the B9152 (the "old" A9 roadway given that the highway from Inverness to Perth was restored even more west in 1980). Aviemore train station is on the Highland Main Line and Aviemore is likewise the southern terminus of the Strathspey Railway, a heritage railway.
