Newmilns and Greenholm is a little burgh in East Ayrshire, Scotland. It has a population of 3,057 individuals (2001 census) and lies on the A71, around 7 miles east of Kilmarnock as well as twenty-five miles southwest of Glasgow. It is located in a valley whereby the River Irvine runs as well as, with the neighbouring communities of Darvel and Galston, forms a location referred to as the Upper Irvine Valley (locally referred to as The Valley). As the name recommends, the burgh exists in two parts - Newmilns to the north of the river and Greenholm to the south. The river additionally splits the parishes of Loudoun and Galston, which is why the burgh, although generally described as Newmilns, has actually retained both names. Of the mills themselves, bit currently remains. The last in operation was Pate's Mill, which sat on Brown Street opposite the train station (contemporary Vesuvius structure). Renowned in Allan Ramsay's poem, "The Lass o Pate's Mill", it was knocked down in 1977 and all that currently stays becomes part of the mill's outside wall. The only mill structure still undamaged can be found at the foot of Ladeside. Now made use of as housing, Loudoun Mill (previously the Meal Mill/ Corn Mill of Newmilns) was in usage from 1593 up until it quit producing dish in the 1960s. In 1970, the mill wheel was removed and the lade completed, with the only remaining recommendation of the site's previous use being a motto, "No Mill, No Meal - JA 1914" etched on the outer wall.

No, you will need a satellite dish to receive a satellite signal for services like Sky or Freesat, as these are specific channels and programmes only broadcast via this medium. These can be installed in a similar way to a standard TV aerial by a recognised engineer.
Your TV and aerial need to be connected by coaxial cable for your TV to work. Most properties have wall mounted connection boxes – similar to electrical plugs – that you can simply plug your TV into. If you don’t have a cable, it’s easy to pick up one from most DIY shops.
If you’re installing a new outside aerial, you may be able to reuse the old cable. If you can’t, you’ll need to route a new one down from your aerial to any sockets you need. Coaxial cable can be routed down the exterior of your property, through loft spaces, under floors and along skirting boards.
If your TV picture is pixelated, poor quality, or cutting out, there may be a fault with your aerial or the cables connecting it to your TV. Also your aerial may not be located in the correct place. An experienced aerial company can carry out a survey to discover the fault.
Generally speaking, you do need an aerial if you have a smart TV. This what will enable you to watch live TV. However, if you’re not bothered about live TV, and just want to use services like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Youtube, you don’t normally need a TV aerial. This is because these services use the internet instead.
We can help you get more Aerial installation work and boost your business.
